Hi all. I posted a while ago that I got a new beagle, Fancy. She came from a rescue, so we don't know who bred her. She's a beautiful beagle, possibly- I'd say probably- from a show breeder. I'd like to find out where she came from, who bred her, partly out of curiosity, plus if there are any health problems in the line I'd know what to watch out for. Anyway, I noticed something today while rubbing her tummy that I think might help me in finding out. One of her nipples is missing. Weird. It's not near her scar from being spayed, and there's no scar where it should be so I don't think it's missing because of an injury. If anyone has a dog with the same thing, or has any idea where she could have come from please let me know. I live in Texas, if that helps any. Thanks all.

You might try contacting the national Beagle club affiliated with AKC (you can find that under the Beagle breed at www.akc.org) and also the nearest club to you that gives Beagle field events (may find listed under clubs, by state, also at www.akc.org). Perhaps a breeder in the area will recognize something characteristic of a particular bloodline.
