ground hog

JaimeMarie Jul 05, 2006 04:45 PM

Hi everyone,
I haven't been around in a while. I thought I would come share what Mya did last weekend. She has been guarding the shed at one house and the rock wall area at the other for the past 5 yrs. Well last weekend she finally caught the ground hog. I never thought she would get it but She did. I was emptying a litter box when I heard my father yelling at her. So I walked around to see what was going on, and there is Mya throwing the ground hog up into the air and catchng it. I yelled at her to drop it, and she did. It went running back into the rocks and was chattering up a storm at us.
It did end up biting Mya on the chin. So she had to go get a rabies booster. I figured it's better to be save than sorry.

That must have been quite a sight! Do you think the bite will make her less ambitious about catching things?

Nope was right back out there the next day trying to find the darn thing. Our new hobby is chasing the gray fox away. I have Mya on a leash of course. The fox runs. Usually leaves for about a week before coming back.
