to me to be honest she looks maybe german shep. lab, or maybe a sight hound like pharaoh hound I wouldn't say she's even part pit, she just doesn't look it to me.
She is definatly part pitt. Iv'e seen her mom and when she was a puppy she looked more pitt. But as she grew she does not look as much like she did. I will check about that sight hound you were talking about. Thank you.
Kerr
Her face almost looks like lab or golden retriever. She sure is pretty, whatever she is.

do you have a pic of her mom?
Just me, but I don't see any pit here at all. I see basenji. If you could get a pic of her body, maybe from the side. Does her tail curl up?

Dogs come into our lives, and too quickly go leaving pawprints on our hearts, and we will never be quite the same again.
"She is about 6 months old and her backside comes up to my knee, her head comes up to my thigh. She is a very solid build and has corse hair. She is a bit whiny but when she barks she a a deep bark. She has big stand up ears and a long wispy tail. "
she sounds too big to be part basenji, I still say pharaoh hound mix.
My first impression while waiting for the picture to d/l was a Pharoah hound. I didn't see any Pit but once the pict d/l I read your post that the mother was a Pit. Could also possibly be some GSD but whatever the dog is very cute.

If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went.
I agreed with everyone else. I don't see the pit either. Lab something. If you haven't told the vet yet. I would tell them she is lab/hound mix. House insurance company's don't like to cover you if you have pits, GSD, huskys.............
Yeah, pit bulls aren't allowed in our housing area, and even though my husband and I are very sure our dog Lucy has pit bull in her, we just say she's a boxer/lab mix so we don't have to move. She's the sweetest old girl, and it's so sad that we can't even tell anyone what she really is. Too bad so many people are so misinformed. Pits really are sweet.
