What should I feed her ...

Demetrius Aug 02, 2006 03:28 PM

Hello ,
I have a 14 week old border collie puppy . She is a wonderful little girl and I would like to put her on a better diet than what I currently have her on . I considered the BARF diet and was going to make the switch but after looking into it more I do not want to take any risks . I would like to switch her to a homecooked diet or a high quality kibble free of wheat , corn and by-products . Can anyone suggest a good recipe for a homecooked diet or a high quality brand of kibble . Thank you .

Hi! I can't help much with a homecooked diet...that is very specialized. However, most of us on the Shiba Inu board use the Wellness brand dog food and other high quality dog food. Currently because of allergy issues with my female Shiba, I use the Wellness Simple Solution. All three of my Shibas have done very well on this food.

I don't know how I missed it but since your dog is 14 weeks she should be put on a high quality puppy food until the switch to adult food can be done.
