Hi! I just jopined your merry band this morning! I've had Dachshunds since 1975. Heidi was our "only child" from 1975 until 1991, when Liver Disease took her away from us at the tender age of 16. A few months afterwards we got litttle Elsa, a year after that we got little Sadie ( Mercedes ) , a year after that we got little Ingrid, a year after that I rescued 8-year-old Hugo, and finally the year after that I rescued 15-year- old Greta. Greta lived to be 20 years olf until Liver Disease took her, too. Hugo went to the Vet at age 16 for some diagnostic tests and had a bad reaction to the anesthesia and died, and in 2005 we had to put Elsa to sleep at the age of 14 because Cephadroxyl gave her severe neurological damage and she couldn't even stand up anymore. So now we're donw to just Sadie and Ingrid.
