Dog peeing on toilet

h_simp Aug 10, 2006 09:05 PM

My 8 year old male Boston Terrier and I have recently moved in with 4 new roomates (1 male human, 1 male pug and 2 male cats). Since we moved, my house trained dog has taken to peeing on a daily basis on my roomates toilet. He doesn't pee anywhere else in the house. We have taken to keeping him out of the bathroom, and that seems to work, but as soon as the bathroom door is left open, as it invariably is, he pees on the toilet again. Any suggestions for how to deal with this problem.

You could use a baby gate across that doorway. Don't resort to punishment. It will create worse problems, such as him hiding from people to mark, in places much more difficult to clean.
