The epidome of owning a JRT....

rudeguy Aug 21, 2006 06:21 PM

I was staying at a hotel the other night and I had my (now six month old) Jack with me. He was on his leash and I was trying to get him to follow me into the room. I called his name and whistled a few times but he just kept trying to go check out a pine cone on the ground nearby.

Just then a lady wandered up and asked about Scott. We talked for a minute, then she asked me the funniest question ever: "Is he deaf? He doesn't seem to hear you."

I could only laugh and reply, "No, he is just a Jack."

I take it that Jack has "selective hearing." LOL It sounds like he was more interested in the pine cone. My Shih Tzu, Katie has that problem on occasion as well.

my boy's the exact opposite, but he's not "pure bred"
cute dog though, it seems jacks have a thing for putting there chins on things, Dingo will rest his head on my knee if he wants something.
