My K9 has been eating a raw diet for 7 years and he's still alive and kicking, Articles like this don't scare raw feeders but it's a dang good thing he's the one eating the raw chicken backs and not me....WHEW! The benefits of raw way outweigh any hysteria humans come up with.

Great for the dogs, though I do feel wonderful about being a vegetarian... wouldn't want that stuff in my kids. I had a puppy for a while who was weaned to raw and never had a problem. I have yet to hear a firsthand story of someone's dog choking on a bone or getting a disease from raw meat. I'm sure these things have happened, but no more often than a dog having kidney problems from eating dry kibble all its life, or anything like that. But of course those things never come up.
Also, what's with the title of this? The FDA didn't okay bacteria, it okayed a virus that *kills* bacteria.
