How Long to Wait Before Feeding Freshly Gassed Mice/Rats?

seablazer Oct 10, 2003 12:09 AM

The title pretty much explains my question... I've read that some people prefer to kill their mice/rats, then leave them in the freezer for a couple months. Others just kill, then feed...

Which way is best? Is killing then feeding immediately harmful?

Usually co2 is used and theres no reason to wait as co2 just displaces oxygen causes sleep then death.

Yes, co2..... I read an article saying that the co2 lingers in the rodents body and could cause harm to the reptile....

Sounds possible, but farfetched.
