These questions pertain to my 5.5 month old Colt.

I'm wondering how many times per day I should feed him. Also how much, but I know that varies. I'm feeding him 3 times per day right now. Should I reduce that?

Also, he hates being brushed and it usually is fairly ineffective. I'm only brushing WITH the hair. Do you guys brush AGAINST it ever?

I comb against the lay of the coat. I don't use a brush. It just doesn't get down to the skin. There are a lot of different tools for grooming. I comb daily, which means truly good-looking and clean dogs! The combs by Chris Christensen and #1 All Systems are very good. You might want to get the #1 All Systems De-matting comb and the Chris Christensen long tooth. Here is a link:

They're not cheap, but then again, they can last longer than the life of a dog, and each will cost probably about the amount of one trip to the groomer. Well worth it.
