I have a chihuaua. She is a little bit smaller than the average chihuahua.. she is 6 years old. She is/ or was in heat. My dog has a doggydoor to go outside and yesterday morning I found her out there with another little male chihuahua dog. We have a fenced in yard, but he must of squeezed though some small opening. Anyways, im worried that she is pregnant because he is a regular size chihuahua, not a big one. just regular, but she is pretty small. She is sorta fat, but her back comes to about 6 inches tall, and her head to about 9 inches... does anyone think this may be too dangerous? is she too small to have a regular size chihuahua's puppies? ...... I also dont know how many puppies chihuahuas have... i've heard, they will carry as many that are allowed... like just what they can hold or whatever.. im just afraid the puppies may be too big and she will die???? any info, will be WONDERFUL~ thank you~

Toy breed females risk death with every pregnancy. She can be spayed even if pregnant, but you need to contact your vet right away.
