dont know what to do

mine Nov 06, 2006 03:22 PM

I have a 10 month old blue heeler mix. she is very smart, but she is also very bad. She has some sort of door fixation, we call it an open door policy. she freaks out everytime a door is closed. Scarlett (the pup) will anticipate my roomate closing her door to go to be. I try to stand by to divert her attention, it doesnt work. Scarlett will attack the door over and over again by bitting on the door nob. everytime some one leaves and the front door is closed she will first try to slam the door on the person leaving then she will attack it. We have grooves cut into the door nobs and scratch marks on the door. It is very annoying and i am afraid that she is going to chip a tooth and hurt her self.... Help

At the link below my name, see the articles Obsessive Behavior, "Attention, Please!", and Eye Contact. Also, get into class with the dog. It's really quite urgent.
