Appointment for spaying!

JadeRyanKelly526 Nov 17, 2006 02:02 AM

On Friday I am going to make an appointment for Jazzmine to get spayed when I arrive in Idaho. I can't leave anything to chance. An unspayed dog makes me completely nervous and on edge. As soon as she is spayed I will breathe a huge sigh of relief.

I am not going to become part of the problem-than I would be a complete hypocrite. There is absolutely NOTHING left to chance in my case. Getting her spayed is absolutely the first thing on my important things to do list.

I am also doing it at a time when I have 10 days off between when I start my new job so I will be able to monitor her and make sure she is recovering okay.

I will let you all know how it goes.

Good for you! There have been 8 or so puppies and kittens on Freecycle over the past week and it makes me sick!! Most vets seem to be using isoflurane, which is very, very safe, so I'm sure your little one will be absolutely fine.

Thanks Kadee!
I'm sure she'll be fne. I just get worried about things like this..but I know it'll be a good thing. I won't have to worry constantly about when she's going to go into heat. I don't want puppies. I can't contribute.. I would feel awful!

My sisters dogs were unneutered when we were taking care of another unspayed female. We were taking her to get spayed, but the vet wouldn't do it because she got some kind of infection and low and behold the dog went into heat a few days later. I did a damn good job keeping the dogs separated. There was NEVER any chance for that dog to get pregnant.
