Wierd Red Spots!

Kaseys412 Nov 25, 2006 05:17 PM

Today Sophie rolled over to have her belly rubbed, and all of a sudden she has these small circilar shaped red splotches on her tummy! They are about the size of a dime.. some are a little bigger, some are smaller. They are only on her lower tummy where she has no hair. It's strange they almost look like little red hickeys. I cannot figure this out! She has had advantage put on her twice, and no food changes so I cant understand what this is! Anyone had this happen before???

OK I got her to be still and let me examine the spots a little better and there is a small red hole in the center of each spot.. and I'm thinking she may have gotten stung up by bees! My husband had her outside for a long time today playing in the yard but she never made a sound like something had hurt her. It really looks like bee stings and like I said they only got her where her fur hadn't covered, she is licking them but otherwise doesn't seem too bothered. Poor girl, I feel terrible.. but she never once acted like she was being stung!

Might be important to have the vet see her promptly. If she shows any signs of itching or discomfort, I would not wait.
