About two week ago notices a red spot on my Huskies muzzle. The nest day it was more red, and that side of his face was swollen. So we made atrip to the vet. It was dertermined that he has a fungus infection on his snout. I was told this is fairly commom on dogs this time of year, as they can get their noses into leaves or grass clippings that harbour mold mildew and fungus in the fall. I was told to put Lotrimin on the area. I did this over the weekend and then a few more days. The spot looked no different. I called the vet again and they prescribed Ketoconazole. Chezra has been taking 50mg once a day, for about 1 1/2 weeks along with the topical lotrimin. We don't seem to be seeing a chankge. We were told this could run into a lenghty healing time, but we are wondering when we might see any improvement. I anyone has ever dealt with this and has helpful suggestions I'd appreciate it. I tried to get spme pics but they wern't recognizable to look at.
