My veiled has not been wanting to eat the past few days. It has been getting colder around here lately, but it should not affect my chameleon indoors. I hope I did not do anything weong by doing this, but I fed him a bit when he opens his mouth and hisses. I just dont want him to starve, so I figured it would not hurt to feed him. When I present him with his food he seems almost afraid of his food. He kinda stifens up, stares at the food for a second, and turns the other way as if trying to escape. Am I doing something wrong? Is this normal for them to want to fast? He is about 10 months old, but he was kinda the runt of his clutch. When I got him, he was almost half the size of his siblings, but now I am not sure how much larger he is. I took him to the vet right after I got him and he weighed exactly 100 grams and I have not wieghed him since. I will weigh him tommorrow and see how much weight he has gained. I have been fattening him up, feeding him the equivilant of 8 to 10 crickets a day(his food items include crickets, superworms, waxworms, meal worms and some vegatative matter, though I just ran out of silkied and butter worms). I plan on decreasing his food intake to the equivilant of 5-7 crickets every other day with some vegatative matter here and there. Does this sound alright. Anything that can help him eat again will be much appreciated. Thanks, jrbl
