i recently bought a chihuahua from a puppy store(she is not from a puppy mill and is a pedigree). i just wanted to know if it would be more difficult to train her since i am beginning to train her at a later time than most puppies.

Her surroundings growing up will dictate how easy/hard it is to potty train her. Being in a cage and being allowed to potty anywhere in that cage for 5.5 months is a habit that will be harder to break than a puppy started at only a few weeks old by a breeder, but it's not impossible and patience and consistency will reap you huge rewards quickly.
