Do newborn mini schnauzers change color

Hi Im new here. Can anyone tell me pls, do newborn mini schnauzers change colors after birth??? My female had 6 blk ones, and some seem to be getting grey in them. MOm is salt and pepper and dad is black. Someone told me at the vets the other day that they will change their color...Is that true??

Hi and welcome to the boards. I'm not sure about mini schnauzers but I do know that many pups of many breeds change. My Shih Tzu was all black and white when she was a young pup but has a some gray mixed in now that she's older. You might want to get a good book on schnauzers and see what is said about color changes and pick up some pointers on other matters as they come up as well.

I am not sure either, but I know poodles also can change fairly drastically over time.

Jack had some tan on him as a tiny puppy, believe it or not. It all went away as his adult coat came in.

It's hard to see in the pics, but the ears in his 7 week pic show it a little bit.
