I don't presently have a Yorkie but did own one for about 12 years. I wouldn't mind hearing about yours or even seeing a picture or two. Posting pictures here is really easy. You just need to have pictures in a folder on your HD and click on the Photo Gallery link above the message board.

If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went.
Hi, thanks for replying back. I absolutely love my Yorkie. She turned 7 years old this past July. She's starting to show signs of arthritis in her back leg. But, she hasn't let it slow her down any.
I might possibly be getting another one in a couple of weeks. I also have 2 Shih Tzu's that I rescued from a sad, sad situation. I don't know how the male dog will react if I bring another dog home. He's extremely protective of me. Tell me about your Yorkie, female, male? Do you think you will get another one someday? They are the most intelligent dog I think I've ever seen! I will try to send pictures someday, I have to sit down and figure out exactly how to do it. I'm not the smartest computer person in the world! I would love to share their pictures. Do you have any dogs presently?
Hope to hear from you soon. Violetdogs
The Yorkie I had was actually my mother's dog. My wife and I had bought him for her as a birthday present. When she moved into an apartment complex... at the time she couldn't bring the dog... things have changed now but anyway we took him and she got to see him as often as she wanted. He was a male and she named him Squeaker. He was an extremely intelligent dog and very active. He had quite the knack for sitting pretty and it didn't matter where he was, on the floor, the edge of the sofa or even on your lap... he had that down pretty pat. One of his favorite pastimes in the summer was when I had the hose out and he would chase the stream of water on the ground much to the amusement of the neighbors. As I said we had him for 12 years and sadly towards the end he developed cancer. I took him to Cornell and did all I could do for him but I finally had to make that fateful decision. He was a good boy and a great pal to my other dog a Springer mix who also passed away a few years ago. Presently I have three Shiba Inus, two that I rescued and one that I adopted. That is them in the picture I use in my signature. They are quite a different breed for sure. I see you also have been in rescue with your Shih Tzus. There is an extremely popular Tzu board here so feel free to stop there anytime or even on the Shiba board where I mostly reside! I'll post some instructions here for you that I use on the Shiba board to help people post pictures. All you will need to do is click on the Photo Gallery link above and register your account. In the instructions, where I have written Shiba Inu you will want to substitute Yorkshire Terrier. Post back with any questions...
At the top of the page, Click on Photo Gallery
Scroll down to Shiba Inu. Click.
Find where it says Upload Photo.
If you haven't Logged In you will have to do so first.
Click on Upload Photo.
When the page opens...where it says Choose a category
be sure it says Shiba Inu.
Click on Browse. Find your photo in the dialogue box and click open.
There is also a link to upload multiple pictures if you choose to do so.
Enter a Title for your photo.
Click Upload/Submit.
Do this proceedure for all your photos, you have 10mb of free storage here.
Now go back to the shiba forum. Enter your post as normal, scroll down below the text box to where it says Select Image from Photo Gallery. Use the drop down arrow to find the photo you would like to post, and click on the photo.
You can also hold down your CTRL key and highlite up to three photos to place in a post.
If you would like to title your photos or place a little story about them you can do so easily by copying the URL that is at the bottom of each uploaded picture. To find the url, click to enlarge the picture and you will find the url below the photo. Just copy any or all Urls into Notepad or something similar. When posting pictures using the URL's you will need to add [ IMG ] and [ /IMG ] before and after the url. Please note there should be no spaces in the brackets, that was just for posting purposes.
I would use the Preview feature to be sure your picture(s) loads, once done just click on Post Message.

Well, I don't know if I did it or not. But, I am trying to send pictures with this reply. Hope you get them. I can see them when I'm managing my folders, but I do not know where they are for everyone to see. Maybe they'll just show up here in this reply. I sure do wish I understood computers better.

Try this one. It WILL NOT let me upload a picture of my other dog. When I do it several times it tells me I already uploaded it, but it also says there's no photos.......I despise computers.

Violet, you're doing just fine with the pictures.
Sometimes, if the picture is too large, the gallery won't accept. If you have a photo editing program on your computer, you can crop off some of the picture that's not important to the picture and that will cut down on the size. You're going to be kept busy between the Yorkie and Shih Tzu boards.

Mary Lou & Katie

I hope so. I like talking to other people who have the same breed of dogs, and are nice. There was one the other night, I swore I wouldn't come back here to doghobbyist. But, I had posted in the Yorkie forum and got a reply back. Still leary of the chat rooms, there's someone there who's very judgemental.....
That's tough- and unfortunate. I've found most on Doghobbyist are decent even the chat rooms. There's been some heated discussions at times, but overall people mind their manners- at least in my experience.
