adult dane adjusting to new home?

atroxhandler Jan 24, 2007 01:09 AM

Hello all, I am new to this forum I spend most of my time over on the reptile forums. We have a couple danes and are thinking about adopting another. We have ours since they where babies and they are great. My question is will a 3 year old male dane adjust to a new home very easily? He is not aggress but is more timid. Our family consists of me an adult male my wife and two small children. We know he allready gets along with other dogs. So my ? is how well will he adjust to a new home.

Thanks for any and all replies

Drew

Dogs are fairly adaptable, but I guess I may not understand the question completley- are you moving? or are you getting rid of your 3 year old dane to get more dogs? Sorry, I just want to clarify before answering.

We have two danes and are wanting the 3 year old male. He will be moving in with us.

Thanks for clarifying- that helps

I took in an almost 2 year old male into our home a few years ago and have never had any regrets what-so-ever. A poster on teh shiba forum took in a 17 year old female at Christmas time and she's having the time of her life.

Dogs are incredibly adaptable. Things should work out wonderfully!

PS- love the pics of your other hobby.
