At Home Training

I have a six month old German Shepherd named Sophie.. and I would really like to begin working with her on some training and obedience skills.. however I am a stay at home mom with limitted transportation, so it is hard for me to get to classes. I was wondering if anyone had any articles or could recommend any books on learning to train your dog at home. Thanks!
