newbie..have a question

Hi! everyone. i got a 6 months old male doberman. but he doesn't bark much when someone comes into my house or backyard. is this normal or is he too young ? i was worried if he's timid or not. thnaks in advance

Hi and welcome! I don't have a Dobe but was wondering if it would be better to not have a dog that barks at strangers? I don't know enough about the breed so hopefully someone will have some other information for you.

It's their nature to. Eventually. 6 months is too young for him to be really protective. But in time he'll certainly let you know when someone is at your front door. Or across the street. Or down the street. lol.
