paw gnawing

Hi everyone! I have a 2 year old lab who recently has been licking and gnawing as his hind paws. They look ok. Last time my other lab was doing something like this, the vet thought it was allergies?!!? Any ideas? Thanks!!

It probably is an allergy issue. Depending on your area the weather is warming and the pollen is flying around already. If you're in an area where it snows, it could be snow mold. It's better to have this checked quickly before he begins to raise sores or cuts from the gnawing.

That's what I figured and will keep an eye on it for the next couple days. If it keeps up, we'll head to the vet. Thanks for your reply!!
