Rescued Jack Russell Question

nycgirl Apr 03, 2007 01:46 PM

Is there any chance that a Jack Russell can coexist peacefully with a cat? The JRT was just rescued from a home where it was abused -- unlike most JRTs, this guy is very timid. Poor thing

I don't have a Jack Russell Terrier but I have had many rescues over the years and slowly intro them to each other and it has always work.

Good Luck,
Cheryl

It's Possible, BUT I would Strongly Reccomend never leaving them alone together and always have a safe place for the CAt to get to and Crate the dogs when not home, I had a cat and a JRT together unfourtunally it didn't turn out very well, but thats my house. and they where raised together.

Thanks for the info guys! (And what a cute dog!) So far, the dog has been ok with the cat -- more curious than anything -- and generally, is very sweet. We haven't seen him snap at anything yet. Just drinking the world in. Fingers crossed!
