Hi all, it is time for us to get a new puppy, should it be a bloodhound?

We currently have two boys, both are rescues. One is a Schnauzer mutt pound puppy, his name is Woofie and he is approx 9 years old - approx 35 pounds. Our other puppy is a Mastiff/Boxer mix and was 8 years old on Dec 20th 2006 - apporx 165 pounds.

I had a black and tan when I was a kid and loved him beyond!! He was a wonderful dog - but smelly

I am looking for input fromthose who have bloodhounds as housedogs. Soemone told me that you are not suposed to bathe bloodhounds - is this true? If so, do they get smelly like by old black and tan?

thanks for any and all input
Colleen

Don't know much about bloodhounds, but I have seen them in the dog show ring and they are bathe before each show.
