My dog rascal was diagnosed with pneumonia for which she is taking dioxycycline 100mg 2pill/2x a day - originally she was vomiting alot of mucus along with whatever she ate. At this same time she started to limp - which then turned into an almost spasm like disorder where she was walking as if on hot coals and then her front paws would pull up so as to look like she was on her tip toes and then hunch up as if to beg and fall back into a sitting position and then lay down. The vet doesn't believe this has anything to do with pneumonia and suggested a neurologist.
It has now been a week and rascal is still displaying the same symptoms -- Do you have any idea what may be causing this type of reaction in rascals legs? (p.s. I'm in the process of looking into a payment plan so I can take him to the neurologist) Thanks.

It may not have anything to do with pneumonia, but have the vet recheck that leg.
