This is my first attempt at posting a pic, so forgive me.

Here's the story- I have to figure out the best way to heat this rack. The dimensions of each shelf is approx 4.5 high (Which is tight on the 6 quart bins so they heve to be tugged out) by 33 inches wide (enough for 4 bins per shelf) and 14.5 deep.

I can would prefer to heat from the back if underbelly heating isn't absolutely necessary for babies, due to the tightness of the drawers. Yeah, I definately should have spaced them a bit, but forgot to while I was making the dados in the sides. I know heat tape is like 1/32" thick, but my dados were cut to exactly 4 1/2" apart, the same exact measurement of the sweater box height.

So I was thinking, maybe use 11" tape across the back, in 5 different strips, each with its own temp control?

One major question- can heat tape be cut at any size, or does it have to be cut by the foot?

Thanks, and sorry for the long post.
