New to snakes...

hey I have a good deal of experience with geckos,beardies etc etc I owna few of each actually. Anyways I am looking to get a snake now I was wondering if there was any good beggining snakes you know of preferibly something that has a insect diet(my moms very squemish) but if not thats fine. So basicly that is all thanks in advance

I have and had many snakes but the most docile snakes I've owned had to have been corn snakes, they're also good for beginners for this reason. Which in fact was my first snake. They eat a rodent diet though so it may not be the one for you. If you're looking for a insect eating snake try looking into the Garter or Ribbon snake. I believe they eat earth worms, frogs, and goldfish/guppy. In fact, I take it back, my first snake was a garter snake which I caught and feed it mostly feeder goldfish. Hope this helps you.
