Hello:
In response to an old question about sores,skin infections and lost fur, I went through the same problem with my red dobe. In try to test for food allergies, we switched from Iams, to a prescription diet of duck and potatoe, and then I found it pet stores and kept her on it. After a good 6 months, she had completely recovered and now has a full shiny clean coat again! I will never go back to store dog food again. The extra cost makes up for the trips to the vet!

Shar, I am happy to see that a higher quality dog food helped to clear up the allergy and skin issues. I have a female Shiba Inu that has allergies and I use the same formula for her.
