My puppy has a couple of lack of pigmentation spots on her nose. My vet says I should protect her nose from sun burn. He suggested sun block, but she licks that off. He also suggested ink(permanent type). Is that supposed to protect the nose? I've never heard of this. Magic marker?

Odd! I've never heard of this and don't have much advice beyond the obvious: if you do use sunblock, be sure to use something without any toxins. I hope someone with more knowledge/experience with this issue responds!
