Hey everyone,
We just went in for our annual check up and got glowing results! Caesar is such a skinny mini. He is such a not a pit. 67.6 lbs and all legs! Vet likes the weight he is, I would like him at at least 70. His spine is showing now, but he will never be a barrel chested pit. Love those crack lines. We did a wellness blood panel as a just in case. He is 3 years old, so it is a good time to get base line blood values and check for early issues, but with all the food recalls, I think it was 70 bucks well spent. Our food wasnt one of the recalled, lord our company hasnt had anything recalled but I just wanted to be safe. I dont have any real children so my dawgs are all I have.
We also did the new heartworm/lyme test. Its more expensive than the regular test, however this covers a few different diseases and is a snap test done in clinic. Naturally they were negative!
His tails still is a problem. We are still healing from the last round of snappage. Those pits and their happy tails. The tip is all healed up and healthy looking, so that is a good thing. We still have the part he tore on the fence. Switched from neosporin to Silvadene (sp) which should work better. Discussed amputation. *IF* I have to take it, it will go to a nub. If the surgery has to be done, it is getting done once and with pitties, we all know happy tail disease!
Good health check ups are great to start summer!
Here are a few shots of him with his tennis ball. That boys ball drive is INSANE!!!
