Neutering?

gerryssscales Jun 20, 2007 08:36 AM

Neutering my Chihuahua, how old or what weight would it be ok to consider neutering? He is currently about 8-9 weeks old and weighs about 2lbs. Is their a best time/age to do this?

Thanks

Altering techniques and anestisia methods make spaying and neutering at that age/size possible depending on your vet's experience level. Still, the general rule is about 6 months old for this procedure.
