anxiety barking

Hello. I just adopted a four year old GSP. She is a great dog. I take her to work with me in the morning, but she has to spend the afternoon at home in her kennel. Problem is, she barks the entire time I am gone. Do you know of a good way to curb this behavior? I sure would appreciate any help you can give.

Congrats on adopting your dog. I'd suggest taking your dog for a long, long walk before you leave and then putting a stuffed Kong in the kennel too. That way your dog will be tired and will have something to chew on/keep her mind busy.
