Hi, my staffie bitch is in heat and mated with our other staffie 3 days ago and twice since but we noticed today that she is still spotting is this normal she has been in heat a couple of weeks now any info appreciated thanks

She may continue to spot some after she has been bred howwever it will be much less then what it would have been if she hadn't taken. You won't know for sure of she took until sometime after 30 days believe then you can get blood test done to deteremine if it took, then you'll want to get xray at 45 days i think check with your vet, that way you know aproixximately how many pups to expect out of the litter, always good to know so you have a good idea of when she done or if she might have more in her while she is in labor. if she bleeds like she normally would through her season she may not have taken. my Amstaff girls always woudl bleed for week or so and then be clear for a few days (breedable) and the bleed again for another week then their cycles were done. the two times we bred the second round of bleeding was much less. good luck and hope everything goes well for you.
