Diarrhea after neutering

luvfraz Jul 10, 2007 07:26 AM

Well,
Gunner was neutered last Thursday and everything went well. He was back to his old self in a day. My problem is that he has had diarrhea since he got home Thursday night. Eating and drinking fine. Urinating fine., it's just he doesn't seem to have any control over his bowel movements. I called the vet after the first day and they said it was probably the pain meds and general anest. that they put him under with for surgery. Well no better today, and I finally just dropped him off at the vet's to see what is going on. Has anyone experienced this after a male was neutered??
Thanks,
Lisa

Never had that happen with any of mine. Let us know what the vet says.

Gunner is all better after the bought of the "runs". Vet said it was most likely stress related due to the surgery. He was on some meds for a few days and is great now. We are so glad we decided to have him neutered. He isn't nearly as crazed as he was 2 weeks ago, and has seemed to settle down somewhat already.
Thanks,
