Bringing a Peke to USA from China

Hi Everyone,

I'm really new to this site, but I was hoping someone can help me answer some questions about importing pets from China. I've gotten some information on the USA.travel.gov site as well as the Chinese embassy's site, but the info doesn't seem complete. Has anyone purchased/ adopted a dog in China and brought him or her back to the US successfully? If so can you please walk me through this process?

I need to know specifically how you go about getting medical clearance for a very young puppy who may not be old enough to get the rabies vaccine.

Any information would help.

Good luck with the import. The rules change all the time so I'm not going to even try to help- sorry. I'm sure the airlines have some idea and you may want to check with the Natioanl Pekingese breed club.
