Trash Raid

rynniex Aug 09, 2007 06:45 PM

I got home today and my 11lb miniature pinscher had managed to get into both the kitchen trash and the bathroom trash. Normally she's crated when we're not home, but someone forgot to put her up.
I don't know exactly what she managed to eat, everything was in shreds. I also don't know if there were any chicken bones in the trash.

My question is, what kind of symptoms should I look for in case she ate something that could hurt her?

The most likely possibilities would be vomiting, diarrhea and bloody stool. You should question why she is eating garbage. Is it because she is distraught over being left alone? Or is it because she is lacking some nutrients from her food and is finding it in your trash rather than in her own food? So the question becomes: Which is more garbage?

yea... she goes nuts when she is left alone. She always had since she was a puppy.

I never can figure out how such a small thing can do so much damage! lol

Thank you for the quick reply
