I just wanted to post a picture of Ozzie, my shelter rescued gsd mix. What do you think he is mixed with?
Also, what are your dog's favorite chew toyS?

It's always hard to guess what mixes are in Mixed Breed dogs but Ozzie definitely has GSD in him. He is a handsome boy! My dogs love squeaky tennis balls or any squeaky toy plus some kongs that I put some inside of.

yes, Ozzie LOVES things that squeek. He picks them up in his mouth and chews it so it squeeks over and over again. He walks around the house with a huge smile on his face when he gets a new squeeky toy. Unfortunately, at 2 in the morning, these toys get annoying to me. Ozzie is most active around this time and because he likes to chew up things he shouldn't, I am hoping to find a LONG LASTING chew that doesn't make much noise.
He won't touch his kong. Neither will my other dog, Mandy. That was a waste of money. If I put peanut butter in them, they just lazily lick it out and then abandon the toy.
Also, a weird thing about Oz, that I'm not sure if it will help in identifying his breeds, is that he is totally not interested in chasing balls or frisbees or really anything.

He's got some strong jaws too. We occassionally give him big steer bones, and he obliterates them with ease (we have to pick up the pieces so he doesn't swallow them)

Oh, oh I think you're going to have to hide those squeaky toys before you go to bed if you want to get any sleep. LOL My Katie doesn't play with her kong either unless I stuff it with something she likes to eat.

Gee, that's a hard one. I can definately see the the GS in Ozzie but not sure what the other mix is. Ozzie is a handsome dog. I have a Shih Tzu named Katie and her favorite toy of all is her tennis ball. She would be lost without that. She also plays with her stuffed toys....mostly to hit the tennis ball and then chase it. LOL She has that down to a science. Hope we'll be seeing more pictures of Ozzie.

Here are some more pictures of Ozzie, since you asked

The first is of him as a puppy

Ozzi looks like he's working very hard to get those treats out of his kong toy.

It's one of those "everlast" toys (i think that is what it is called). As soon as he got out the treat (which didn't take long at all), the rubber part was abandoned. It took him maybe 3 minutes to eat the treat that is supposed to be "ever lasting"!
The refills are expensive, and because it didn't last long, we just began putting dog biscuits in the rubber toy. Occupied him for a few minutes at least.
