I am looking into bringing home a conformation/working bulldog. Barrera seems to have a breeding coming up that sounds pretty promising. I don't know much about different reputable breeders, as my girl came from a BYB.

I'm looking for a male pup that's a complete package...drive, working ability, good structure and good temperament. I prefer Scott type dogs over Johnson...they just seem to be more athletic to me.

I want the pup to be from health tested lines, proven working lines as well as conformation lines.

I know, I am asking for a lot!

Anyway, has anyone heard of the breeder Barrera out of IL? I'm looking for the good & the bad (if any!)

if its ray barrera id def get a dog from him. hes very big into working and showing his dogs. all are health tested and healthy. dont know him personally but have heard great things about him. if your looking for a working bulldog check out this message board its dedicated to working bulldogs. google TRUEGRIT MESSAGE BOARD hope this helps

i believe ray also post his litter on the for sale part of the truegrit board. lots of good people on there. and TONS of good info on breeders and training and just about anything that involves abs. even if u dont post u will learn so much from just reading other stuff people posted. just tons and tons of info.

i just checked the for sale part of the board and he does have it posted in there. nemo x ghost breeding right? nemo is an awesome looking dog. also has pics of both and other dogs he has produced.

Yes, it's the Nemo X Ghost breeding...both dogs are exceptional, and seem to be exactly what I'm looking for. I'll definately check out that website! Thanks!!

no prob. its a good forum, maybe a little more harsh than most ab forums but thats what makes it a good one. u get to who bad and good of people and there is just a wealth of knoweledlgable poeple willing to help out. that nemo is such as beautiful bulldog and a worker to boot. would love to have one of his babies. hope u get what your looking for.
