Always something new...

Wow...

Our dog, Nikki, is almost 8, and this morning we get up to find her curled up on our leather couch using a pillow.

This dog hasn't been on furniture since she was a puppy, and even then we chased her down.

Last night we had a bit of a cold snap here in MO, and I thought she'd sleep outside, but she barked to come in. I bet after I went to bed, she decided to find a nice soft spot that was better than her own bed!

I just can't believe this behavior came out of nowhere! We cracked up. Then, my wife said after she came back from dropping the kids at school, Nikki was back up there!!!

My sibe likes to run in the bedroom when I go to bed and jump up on the foot of the bed, I chase him down right away unless he was exceptionally good that evening. Either way he leaves in a few minutes when he realizes that he was never allowed up their before, and goes back to his normal sleeping spot in our front livingroom in front of the couch, or in the big livingroom on his canine cooler. Our sibe mix sleeps now on a dog bed in the bedroom or near his "adopted" brother sibe.

i think i am privialged in that mine dont do furniture either...
my dogs stay outdoors most of the time, except whelping bitches, new moms and ones that need to be specifically watched.
if mine liked furniture, there would be nothing but a huge pile of hair left after they got through! LOL
mine arent so classy.
they prefer a hole in the mud than a pillow
LOL
im in NC, we need some cool weather.. im working the dogs in good weather now, but they always love it when its really cold out.
send us a cold front
