where is everyone?

Anyone have any suggestions on beginning work in fly ball or anything to burn some energy out once and a while?

Hi and welcome to the DogHobbyist. We would like to see this board become more active so hopefully some other Maliois owners will stop on by. What can you tell us about yours... maybe even post a picture or two!

I've had 5 Belgian Tervuren, cousins to the Mals--in fact, in much of the world they are the same breed. I'm without a dog at all now, very unhappy about that! Waiting for my breeder to find me the right dog to train to be my assistance dog.

I can start with one tip. Teach your Mal to only jump up on you when specifically invited, and not to put teeth on skin. Also to look at your face when you say the dog's name. Okay, that's more than one tip! But these dogs are thinking about what they are looking at, much more easily distracted by sights than some breeds. When you have the dog's eyes, things go so much more smoothly!

I think those are great tips for any breed.

Thanks,
