fever of unknown origin

anneh Oct 18, 2007 08:54 PM

I adopted a 6yo dog several months ago and last week he suddenly had a high fever 106 with no other symptoms. After 5 days in ER on IV fluids/antibiotics and many tests/blood work (including test for Tick diseases)chest xrays and ultrasounds no cause was found and I brought him home. He has been home for 4 days and his temp continues to fluctuate between 103 and 104 . The specialists claim nothing more can be done other than invasive tests like bone marrow etc. He is eating and drinking altho appetite is off. I feed a raw or home cooked diet with holistic supplements etc. Thanks for any ideas of what to look for next or what to do for him.

Absent any other symptoms, try giving homeopathic Belladonna 30c, three times a day.
