Hi, I took my dog to the vet and they said she has liver disease, or a swollen liver. They said she might have heart disease too. Thing is, I'm out-of the country, or my native USA. Found this dog in Taiwan and am not sure about the vet medicine here.
But now the swelling's down and I'm wondering if the vet mis-diagnosed her, or if I should get her further treatment. The dog's old, and the vet said if the liver disease is too severe, there's nothing I can do. But I'm wondering.
She's active and eating well. Could this have just been a spell? Before she was throwing up a lot, but now is keeping most of her food down. I'd changed to feeding her softer food and watering her dry food to make it more digestible.
I'm not the richest guy in the world either and this dog was a stray schnuazer I'd found. I have to seek homemade remedies for now. I will then get her a final test to determine the severity of her illness. Nonetheless, has anyone had experience with their dog's having liver/heart disease? I need some advice, practical homemade tips, for now.
