why does she mark her toy

I have a Springer 1.5 year old and she loves to play fetch. The problem is she likes to pee on the ball or whatever else we are playing with?

Why does she do this and can she be trained to stop? I know she can, more like how??

Try putting undiluted clear vinegar on the retrieving object immediately after she urinates on it. Don't fuss at her. Let the scent do the talking!
