It might be hard to tell at 5 months. I would wait a little longer to see if the hair and rough fill out around her. No matter what she is a real little doll.

Okay, I'm going to try for a third time to answer this! I can't tell what size your dog is from the photo, but even if she's larger than a show Pom, that doesn't make her not a Pom. There is a lot of breeding of Poms. The ones that look different can be GREAT, and I think your dog is lovelier than a show Pom--I love that head and muzzle shape. Be sure to take her to a good positive class while she's young, and enjoy life with her!

As far as the coat, it looks great to me, too--much healthier than the very profuse coat of some show Poms. But it is possible she is between puppy and adult coats, and is going to develop a lot more. Get her used to combing now--I love the Chris Christensen combs--and do it every day. It does worlds of good for the dog and for your relationship.

Enjoy her. I think she is gorgeous--seriously!

Hi, I'm not a Pom owner so I can't help you with your question but would just like to welcome you to the board and say that Kisses sure is a cutie.
