fluffy monster now

zwj1021 Dec 29, 2007 11:48 AM

My dog had short light brown fur when I got her as a puppie at two weeks old. Now it has grown into a fluffy monster... see the pictures below, what breed do you think she is? She is a small sized dog. Whenever I talk to her she stares into my eyes while listening just like a person does, do dogs do this usually or is it just this one dog? I've had other dogs none of them did this. But what breed is she??

This is when she was two weeks old:

The behavior of looking at you so attentively may come from some herding dog genetics. But what breed, gosh, just love her! You'll never know.

Oh...so it stares to "stare down" the animal (me)?? It looks like it's just listening though?? Confused.

No, herding dog behavior is not necessarily dominant at all. Herding dogs just tend to use their eyes a lot.

This one is kinda hard but if I had to guess I would say Yellow Lab cuz the way the ear lay, the color of the fur and the color of the nose along with Australian Terrier cuz the long hair and your looks like it hase the same eyes and face as them, do a search and you will see what I mean.
