>>My husband and I just bought an 8 week old red doberman. We already have a male sheltie, and so far, they are getting along great. Housetraining is going well, and she was vet checked healthy. The past week though, I've noticed that she seems to be very bow legged on her front legs. Her back legs are straight, but her front legs aren't. Is this normal, or should I be concerned? Her gait seems fine and when she lays down, they straighten out. Thanks in advance.

It sure wouldn't hurt to have her checked by your veterinarian. Little puppies need frequent veterinary visits, especially visits where nothing much happens except treats and petting. If that's all that happens, it's worth an exam fee! But you can also take a pup in--after calling the office to make sure it's an okay time--for other short visits. This experience is pure gold later when the dog is older and less flexible.
Lots of strange things can happen with puppies, and the easiest time to fix many of them is early. When in doubt, check it out with your veterinarian. It's well worth it.
