Laryngeal Paralysis

TeamGenji Jan 12, 2008 08:30 AM

A friend of mine's dog was diagnosed with LP. She is a 13 year old Lab. Surgery is an optin, but their vet doesn't strongly recommend due to her age and currect condition. Should they talk to a specialist? Probably a specialist would recommend a surgery, but if the owner is not comfortable with it, are there any holistic treatments for LP? Thank you very much.

I would suggest she try homeopathy first. Remedies to look at include Causticum, useful in many cases of paralysis, and the snake poisons. Of course, the homeopath would need a lot more information to determine the correct remedy, but these are very prominent for laryngeal paralysis.
