I have a german shepherd that is starting to eat her poo and i wanted to know if any of you know way she is doing it she gets to eat whenever she wants, she gets iams so i dont know way she is doing it?? Thanks for any help!!!! Thanks **Dominique**

Mother dogs eat the poo of their babies. This is somewhat natural behavior of dogs. No one talks about it, so people don't realize it. Just pick up the poo before the dog can get it. Call her to you for a treat instead. Keep her on a leash to potty at first if necessary to switch her to coming to you for a treat instead of turning to eat the poop.

If she does not have puppies, this habit may well fade over time with you preventing her from practicing it.
