My 2 year old female siberian husky just blew her undercoat in several places on her body....but not everywhere. Is this normal to blow their coat in the dead of winter? Thanks.

From going inside, then outside, etc back and forth, the huge temperature difference causes a sibe to shed excessively in some spots. My pure sibe does that about every time the temps drop big time.
Ooops, theres not mistaking a coat blowing for this. The mess from a coat blowing is huge!!!
my Sibe did just blow his coat in late january and i am a professional groomer brushing him every day and i have never seen the mess that blowing a coat makes in any dog(even ones that hadnt been groomed in years). our nornal temp here in winter is -20 degrees celcius but we had a few freek days of plus 6 as well he was just neutered. the huge temp fluxuation as well as the hormone change threw him off and he blew his coat. and most indoor dogs dont do this. and believe me youll know when it happens if it ever does in your dog. and there is no exageration when i say its a mess ana a whole lot of work when it does happen. i hope for your sake in is just regular shedding
My two Huskies have done this before . All I see are Different but most of the time is happens in late jan - may . The only other cause I could think of would be a few hot spots but the wouldnt just be the under coat would be a pactch of baldness .
